A single ticket gets you access to all the great events on the day.

Workshop with your favourite authors

Two celebrated children's authors are coming to the Library, and you're invited!

Children's author R. A. Spratt

R. A. Spratt

10.30am to 11.15am

R. A. Spratt is the best-selling author of Friday Barnes, Girl Detective, a school-based mystery series. She enjoys getting hate tweets from exasperated readers who claim to be dying of frustration due to the cliff-hanger endings.

R. A. Spratt also wrote The Adventures of Nanny Piggins. This is a nine-book series about an impossibly glamorous flying pig who ran away from a circus to become a childcare worker, and flagrantly ignored all contemporary theories about healthy eating.  Her latest series, The Peski Kids, is a hilarious adventure series featuring April, Joe and Fin and their eventful lives in not-so-sleepy Currawong.

R. A. has written for 32 different television shows. Even she has trouble remembering what they were all called.

This author talk promises to be like no other as R. A. Spratt introduces us to her colourful characters and their extraordinary adventures!  Suitable for 8 years plus.

Children's author Catherine Pelosi

Catherine Pelosi

1.30pm to 2.15pm

Catherine Pelosi is a Sydney based children’s author. Her debut book Quark’s Academy was published in February 2018 and her picture book Something for Fleur was published in August 2018.

Quark’s Academy is all about science, inventions and children with curious minds. In this interactive workshop you will learn more about storytelling, coming up with ideas as well as some interactive science displays. Suitable for 8 years plus.
