Why can't I access an eresource at home?

Some eresources can only be used in the Library. Look for the card icon to see if you can use the eresource from home.

If you can see the card icon but still can't access the eresource, try clearing your cookies and cache, then restart your internet browser.

Still can't access the eresource? Contact Ask a Librarian with your Library card number and the eresource name and we'll do our best to help.

Note: To use eresources at home, you must be a NSW resident and have a Library card or a registered NSW public library card from a participating library.

Can I use Ancestry Library Edition from home?

No. You can only access the library's subscription to Ancestry Library Edition on a Library computer in the Marie Bashir Reading Room or on your own device using the Library's free wi-fi.

Can the librarians do extensive or ongoing research for me?

No, librarians can not do extensive or ongoing research.

No, the Library does not provide a valuation service.
