Cameron Morley with the Public Library of NSW Circulating Box

BA, Grad Dip Information, Grad Cert Public Sector Management

Cameron Morley majored in literature at Macquarie University prior to attaining his library qualifications at the University of Technology, Sydney.

Cameron has a background as a reference librarian in the reading rooms of the State Library and has worked for most of his career in public library development. His achievements include securing and managing significant funding for NSW public libraries and promoting library improvements through the development of standards and guidelines for spaces and services, many of which have been adopted nationally and overseas.

What inspired you to take this role?

As an avid reader with a love of learning I have a natural affinity with libraries and their collections. The State Library has been a champion of library services for local communities across NSW over many years and I respect this rich history.

Good libraries elevate communities and individuals, and I am passionate about helping libraries to maintain and develop responsive services.
