Break the class into small groups and provide a related painting or image to each group
Provide either an A3 colour copy or access to the digital version of the related images
Encourage students to zoom in and examine closely
Students annotate directly onto the image noting the visual grammar concept and an explanation of what they interpret
Students select one to two visual grammar concepts to report back to the class and share learning
