Task no. 1
Note for teachers: For the following two tasks, students will use their knowledge from Activity 1 and then apply it in a creative way. They can do this activity with a partner, or if you have the required technology, they could record their storytelling using a device.
Find a partner and tell them a story about your animal from Activity 1. Imagine that your animal is a character in a story who can talk. What name would this animal have? Imagine what kind of problems they might come across in their everyday lives. After you have told the story, listen to your partner’s story.

Illustrating your story
Draw an illustration to go with your story – show your animal doing something that he/she did in the story.
