Drug & Alcohol Info Hub - a year in review

The Drug & Alcohol Info Hub is a travelling interactive information and display program for NSW public libraries.

The program provides quality and up-to-date information on drugs and alcohol to local communities across the state. It offers an excellent opportunity for libraries to partner with schools, community organisations and the local area health services to deliver drug and alcohol information-related events and activities.

Expressions of interest are now open for public libraries to host the Drug & Alcohol Info Hub program in 2020, closing on Thursday 31 October 2019.

Expression of Interest

Mini Hub

In order to meet demand for the Hub during Youth Week, Drug Info trialled a mini Hub. This was a good opportunity to trial a hub that is easier to transport and set up, and has a smaller footprint. It includes the same equipment, promotional material and activities as the Drug & Alcohol Info Hub.

  • Snowy Monaro Library ran the mini Hub during Youth Week incorporating it in the school holiday program, commencing at the Bombala branch and finishing at Cooma
  • Camden combined the mini Hub with an art and pizza day.

We received excellent feedback - the host libraries reported a high level of client engagement with the Hub, promotional activities and information materials. One library commented:

The aim of the display was for people to leave with more knowledge and pick up some facts they didn't know before -  I think we achieved that!
