My story matters 2

The new look Show Me The Way website was launched today at the State Library of NSW by Dr Lisa O'Sullivan, Executive Director, Public Libraries & Engagement. Two DVD on a table

In time for NAIDOC Week (8- 15 July) the State Library of NSW and Show Me the Way also introduced My story matters 2, the second DVD in a series of short documentaries about successful First Nation role models.

State Librarian Dr John Vallance welcomed the audience to a preview of the documentaries, which capture the resilience and strength of individuals who through education can achieve their life goals.

Each story in My story matters is a positive representation of  members of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. The films, made by high school students, have a unique storytelling approach. Each personal journey represents a path to progress through education.
