This interactive hands-on program introduces public library staff to key aspects of the State Library of NSW website.

Who is this course for?

The program will suit all levels of staff including new public library staff and those seeking to refresh their knowledge.

Course delivery

One hour face-to-face workshop.

Learning strategies involve a mix of lecture style, group work, and guided opportunities for participants to explore the State Library website.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the workshop participants will be able to:

  • identify, locate and understand the difference between key State Library catalogues
  • conduct simple searches for books and pictures in the State Library’s catalogues
  • conduct simple searches for content across the State Library website
  • locate key information about services for NSW public libraries.

Cost

This course is free for NSW public library staff.

Course dates

Discover SL is available to be delivered locally on request. A workshop session can be combined with the Drug and alcohol information workshop and Legal information workshop in one four hour session.
