Public library learning and development framework
About the Learning and Development Framework
The Public Libraries Consultative Committee endorsed a Public Library Learning and Development Framework at their meeting of 17 March 2014. The Learning and Development Framework identifies three outcome areas for the NSW Public Library network:
- Skills and knowledge development across a broad range topics related to the library and information sector
- Sharing of information and experiences
- Inspiration and ideas generation
The Framework identifies three mechanisms to achieve the above learning and development outcomes: learning and development programs, learning communities and networks and policies and guidelines.
