Introducing the new indyreads ebook and eaudio platform
Course overview
This interactive hands-on program introduces public library staff to the new indyreads ebook and eaudio platform.
Who is this course for?
This course is for staff working in NSW public libraries and will suit all levels of staff especially those in client-facing roles and readers advisory staff.

Course delivery
Half day face-to-face workshop. Learning strategies involve a mix of lecture style, group work, and guided opportunities for participants to explore the indyreads platform using iPads (supplied). We are currently investigating ways to offer indyreads training remotely.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the indyreads workshop participants will be able to:
- understand the content and functionality of indyreads
- locate the indyreads app
- conduct simple searches for ebooks and eaudio content
- borrow and return ebooks and eaudio
- locate in-app help, user guides, support and FAQs
- identify self-published and local studies material
- locate promotional material.

The State Library provides the cost of first class return rail travel for participants travelling from libraries more than 100km away - more details can be found on the travel claim form.
Cost
This workshop is free for NSW public library staff.
Host libraries are asked to provide catering for a short tea break.
Course dates
