Rumaan Alam joins the book club to talk about his suspenseful and provocative third novel, Leave the World Behind. A story of two families, strangers to each other, who are forced together on a long weekend gone terribly wrong.

Bri and Rumaan will discuss how the novel explores the complexities of parenthood, race and class, and explores how our closest bonds are reshaped — and unexpected new ones are forged — in moments of crisis.

Leave the World Behind is currently being made into a feature film.
