The old Devonshire Street Cemetery

Curator Elise Edmonds will explore the history of the old Devonshire Street cemetery, which used to sprawl across the sandhills at the south end of the city, where Central Station now stands. Elise will focus on some of the collection items from the Library which inspired the fascinating exhibition Dead Central. Join us online for the story of an extraordinary project taken on by two determined individuals to document the old cemetery before it was cleared to make way for Sydney’s Central Station.
