Tess Gardner outlines the careers of George Ernest Morrison and William Henry Donald, Australian journalists who advised the leaders of China during the early 20th century. They worked in the background of a number of events in modern China’s history, but this talk focuses on the 1911 Xinhai revolution and its aftermath, where these two Australians worked for opposing parties in the newly-formed Chinese republic.
