Join Travis in conversation with Deborah Taylor for a discussion on Deborah’s artworks Forged in Fire and Blood and Special Places. In her artist’s statement, Deborah says that Forged in Fire and Blood is an artwork responding to the “environmental mismanagement that has been happening since white people came to Australia and systematically imposed their rules and regulations on the first people, landscape and animals.

The horrific fires a few months ago were testament to overdevelopment and overpopulation as well as in most cases ignoring how a group of people managed fire and landscape for tens of thousands of years.”
