New exhibition
STUDIO:
Australian painters
photographed by R. Ian Lloyd
A free exhibition until 12 October
Venue: Galleries
The private and chaotic world of Australia’s most acclaimed painters comes to life in this multimedia exhibition. Photographer R. Ian Lloyd’s large format portraits of 61 painters invite the viewer into the studio environment – be it an inner city loft, suburban kitchen or the sandy earth of the outback – revealing the most extraordinary detail.
Words by art critic John McDonald provide fascinating insights into the artists’ minds, moods and working lives. Among the long list of well-known NSW artists are Tim Storrier, Wendy Sharpe, Margaret Olley and Ken Done.
