Experience the convenience of an Australia-wide online interactive library visit and the expertise of professional librarians. This live reference service is available Monday to Friday, 9 am to 7 pm AEST.

Use the following options to send us an information request or to check on the progress of your request:

Contact us by phone for quick answers and information. This service operates Monday to Thursday, 9 am to 8 pm and Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.

Research consultations
Do you have a complex research inquiry? We can provide a consultation service to clients who are able to visit the Library. Contact us on (02) 9273 1414 or submit your requirements online.
Referrals
The State Library may not be able to help you with some complex research enquires or with valuation or conservation of items. These referrals are provided as a guide to third party services which may be able to assist.
