Analysing paintings
- Break the class into small groups and provide a related painting or image to each group
- Provide either an A3 colour copy or access to the digital version of the related images
- Encourage students to zoom in and examine closely
- Students annotate directly onto the image noting the visual grammar concept and an explanation of what they interpret
- Students select one to two visual grammar concepts to report back to the class and share learning
