The power of the spoken word
Foundation Appeal
Annual Appeal 2024
The Library’s oral history collections, of people from all walks of life are nationally significant.
Oral histories allow us to hear the voices of business leaders and entrepreneurs, people from rural and regional NSW, architects and designers, working people, Indigenous Australians, migrants, writers, creatives, people of diverse faiths and sports identities.
This year, our 2024 Annual Appeal aims to establish a new endowment to grow and share the Library’s collection of oral histories.
We need your help to make these stories heard!
Funds raised will go towards a state-of-the art Sound Studio and an innovative program to capture contemporary voices and memories of people of NSW. We want to share stories of achievement, hardship, family life, creativity and love — from people both extraordinary and ordinary.
