Determined to prove a villain: Richard III

Comedies, Histories and Tragedies is an event series presented with Bell Shakespeare in line with the State Library of NSW’s exhibition For All Time: Shakespeare in Print, which celebrates the 400th anniversary of the publication of Shakespeare’s First Folio. In a series of monthly panel talks each focusing on a specific play from the Folio, some of Australia’s pre-eminent Shakespeare minds and artists will discuss the Bard, his extraordinary body of work, and his creative influence throughout time. Feature plays will include Richard III, Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Julius Caesar.

In an evening of discussion, performance and celebration of Richard III, Bell Shakespeare’s Joanna Erskine is joined by Founding Artistic Director of Bell Shakespeare and actor John Bell AO OBE, actress, playwright and screenwriter Kate Mulvany OAM, actor and comedian Thomas Campbell and Associate Professor Huw Griffiths.
