Your State Library of the future

Community survey

The State Library of NSW is one of the world’s great libraries, with a history dating back to 1826.

As we look to the future, we want to open up the Library to the community, making our collections, services and the building itself more accessible to readers and visitors — onsite, online and on tour.

To do this, we’re developing a new five-year plan and we want to hear from you.

The survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete and is aimed at current users, as well as people who may never have visited the State Library or accessed its collection and services online.

Your views and ideas will help us to shape the future of your State Library and ensure it is space for the community where everyone is welcome.

The survey will close on Wednesday 1 May at 5 pm.
