The Hon. Rowan Darke

Rowan Darke completed school in Bathurst before moving to Sydney to study at the University of Sydney, where he completed degrees in Economics and Laws. Mr Darke thereafter pursued a career in the legal profession, including practising as a barrister for almost 27 years. Mr Darke was appointed as a judge of the Supreme Court of NSW in 2013, continuing in that position until his retirement in 2023.

Mr Darke has previously served on boards, notably those of the South Eastern Sydney Area Health Service, and Barristers’ Sickness & Accident Fund Pty Ltd.

Since his retirement, Mr Darke has become involved in voluntary work in the community, and is finding more time to devote to personal interests such as literature, history and economics.
